The person behind the guide

Hi. I'm Dylan.

I'm an AI automation builder who works with real local businesses every day, and teaches everything I learn from that work.

I'm not a researcher. I'm not a futurist. I build AI systems for dispensaries, restaurants, service businesses, and entrepreneurs, and I document what I learn so you can skip the trial and error I went through.

Where I started

I came from a marketing and operations background, not software engineering. When AI tools started getting genuinely useful around 2022, I was one of those people who spent too many hours testing everything.

I got obsessed with finding what actually worked for non-technical people and small businesses. What prompts got useful output. What tools were worth paying for. What workflows saved real time.

What I built

I started building AI systems for real clients, a cannabis dispensary, a food service business, a management company. Voice AI, customer service automation, loyalty dashboards, content systems.

That became SimplySync AI, my automation agency. Every client build taught me something new. And I realized the biggest gap in the market wasn't the technology, it was practical education from someone who was actually doing the work.

Why I teach

Most AI content is made by people who've never run a real client engagement. It's theoretical, demo-heavy, and divorced from what actually works when you're building something a real business depends on.

Your Handy AI Guide exists to fix that. Everything I publish comes from live work. If I use it with a client, I document it. If something doesn't work, I say so. The goal is to save you the months of trial and error I went through.

The "Handy" thing

My last name is Handy. I can't help it. But it fits, because "handy" is exactly what I want this to be. Not the most sophisticated AI content. Not the most academic. Just the most useful.

AI that actually works. By someone who actually builds it.

03 / How I work

The principles behind every guide.

01

Built from real work

If I haven't used it with a client, I don't teach it. Everything here is tested on real businesses, not made-up demos.

02

Plain language only

No jargon. No "leverage synergistic AI paradigms." If a concept can't be explained simply, the explanation needs more work, not the reader.

03

Honest about limitations

AI is genuinely useful. It's also genuinely overhyped. I'll tell you both, what works and what doesn't, and when to reach for something else.

04

Free first

The best stuff is free. Guides, prompt packs, community, free. I'd rather earn your trust first and your business second.

05

Teach, don't gatekeep

I share the exact prompts, tools, and workflows I use. No "secret sauce." The more people use AI well, the better everything gets.

06

ADHD-friendly

Short formats. Clear structure. Lots of examples. I built content I'd want to consume, because my own brain requires it.

04 / What's next

Let's build something together.

Whether you want to learn, need a custom build, or want to bring me in to speak, I'm reachable.
