Content Creator Prompt Pack

Hooks, scripts, captions, repurposing formulas. Turn one idea into a week of content.

8 prompts Format: Copy & paste Works with: Claude · ChatGPT · Gemini

How to use this pack

These prompts assume you have an idea or a piece of source content (a video, a blog post, a podcast episode). They don't generate ideas from scratch, they help you ship the ideas you already have, faster. Each one is designed to preserve your voice, not flatten it.

  1. Have your source material ready (transcript, draft, raw thought).
  2. Pick the prompt that matches the platform or format you need.
  3. Run it. Read the output.
  4. Edit ruthlessly, the AI gives you a structural draft, not a finished piece.
  5. Ship.
PROMPT 01

The Hook Generator

Generate 10 distinct hooks for any piece of content. The 3-second deciding line.

Copy this
Generate 10 hook options for content about [TOPIC].

Audience: [WHO IT'S FOR, be specific]
Platform: [TIKTOK / REELS / LINKEDIN / YOUTUBE / TWITTER]
Length: under 12 words each

Mix these hook styles (give me 1-2 of each):
- Strong opinion / hot take
- Counterintuitive claim
- Specific number or stat
- Question that creates curiosity
- Mistake or warning
- Story opener

After the 10, mark the 3 you think would perform best on this platform with this audience.
Pro tipTake the 3 it picks, then run them by someone in your target audience. The AI is decent at hook structure but humans know their tribe better.
PROMPT 02

The Short-Form Script (60-second video)

Turn an idea into a tight 60-second TikTok or Reels script.

Copy this
Write a 60-second video script on [TOPIC / SPECIFIC POINT].

Audience: [WHO]
My voice: [3 ADJECTIVES, e.g. "direct, slightly self-deprecating, never lecturing"]

Structure:
- Hook (first 3 seconds): visual cue + spoken line, attention-grabbing
- Body (40 seconds): the point, with 1-2 specific supporting beats
- Payoff (10 seconds): the takeaway or surprise
- CTA (final 5 seconds): subtle, "follow if useful" is fine, don't be salesy

Format: write it as a script with [VISUAL] tags showing what's on screen, and the spoken line beneath each.

Aim for 130-160 words total (60-sec speaking pace).
Pro tipOnce written, read it aloud with a stopwatch. If it runs long, cut from the body, never from the hook.
PROMPT 03

The LinkedIn Post

Write a LinkedIn post that doesn't sound like every other LinkedIn post.

Copy this
Write a LinkedIn post about [TOPIC].

My voice: [3 ADJECTIVES, avoid "professional" if you have a personality]
Goal: [BUILD AUTHORITY / GET COMMENTS / DRIVE LEADS / GENUINE SHARE]

Constraints:
- Hook in the first line, make someone stop scrolling
- 150-220 words total
- Short paragraphs (1-3 sentences each)
- One specific concrete example, anecdote, or number
- End with a question to invite comments (a real question, not "Thoughts? 👇")
- No emojis (or 1 max, if it adds something)
- Never use: "Whether you're X or Y," "It's worth noting that," "In today's fast-paced world"

Give me one draft, then one alternative opener.
Pro tipLinkedIn punishes promotional. Reward yourself for writing posts that don't sound like marketing.
PROMPT 04

The Carousel (Instagram or LinkedIn)

Plan a 6-10 slide carousel with strong structure.

Copy this
Plan a [N]-slide carousel for [PLATFORM] on [TOPIC].

Audience: [WHO]
Goal: [TEACH SOMETHING / TELL A STORY / MAKE AN ARGUMENT / SAVE-WORTHY REFERENCE]

For each slide, give me:
- Title (under 8 words)
- 1-2 lines of body text (under 25 words)
- A visual concept (don't design it, just describe what should be on the slide)

Structure:
- Slide 1: Hook / promise
- Middle slides: the main content, one idea per slide
- Second-to-last: the key takeaway or "aha"
- Last slide: CTA (save, follow, comment, share, pick one based on goal)

After the slides, write a 60-120 word caption to accompany the carousel.
Pro tipCarousels live or die on slide 1. Spend 30% of your effort on that title alone.
PROMPT 05

The Newsletter Section

Write a 250-400 word section for your weekly newsletter.

Copy this
Write a newsletter section on [TOPIC].

Audience: [WHO READS YOUR NEWSLETTER]
My voice: [3 ADJECTIVES]

Structure:
- Personal opener (1-2 sentences, not "Hello everyone")
- The idea, framed for someone running their own business / doing their own work
- One specific example, anecdote, or numbers
- One "try this week" actionable suggestion
- Flowing prose, no bullet lists or headers unless the topic genuinely needs them

Length: 250-400 words.

Voice notes: warm, like talking to one specific reader. Use "you" not "everyone." Use "I" not "we" (unless writing for a team).
Pro tipIf your newsletter has any visual breaks (a divider, a quote callout), tell the model, it'll help structure the section to work with them.
PROMPT 06

The Long-Form Outline (blog or YouTube)

Build a real outline before writing the long version.

Copy this
Build an outline for [TYPE OF CONTENT, e.g. "a 1,200-word blog post" or "a 12-minute YouTube video"] on [TOPIC].

Audience: [WHO]
Goal: [WHAT DO YOU WANT THEM TO DO/THINK AT THE END]

Structure:
- 3 headline options
- Intro (1-2 sentences on the hook, what the piece will deliver)
- 4-7 main sections, with H2 titles
- Under each section: 3-5 bullet points covering what should be in it (specific points, not just topic areas)
- Conclusion / CTA

Then flag:
- The 2 strongest sections
- The 1 weakest section (and what would make it stronger)
- One controversial or contrarian angle the post is missing that would make it sharper
Pro tipThe 'contrarian angle it's missing' is gold. Most generic-sounding content is generic because it skips the part where you'd disagree with the consensus.
PROMPT 07

The Repurpose-from-Long-Form

Convert a long-form piece into 5+ outputs for other platforms.

Copy this
Below is a long-form piece (blog post / YouTube transcript / podcast transcript) I created. Repurpose it.

Source:
[PASTE LONG-FORM CONTENT]

Generate:
1. One LinkedIn post (180 words, opinion-driven angle)
2. Three Twitter / X threads (each 6-10 tweets, different angles from the source)
3. Three short-form video scripts (60 seconds each, different angles)
4. One Instagram carousel plan (7 slides + caption)
5. One newsletter section (300 words)

For each output, use my voice: [3 ADJECTIVES]
Each output should stand alone, not "as I said in my blog post."
Pro tipAlways edit the outputs for voice. The AI matches structure better than tone. Spend 5 minutes on each one stripping AI tells.
PROMPT 08

The 'Is this worth posting?' filter

Pressure-test an idea before you spend time creating it.

Copy this
I'm considering creating content on this idea:

[YOUR IDEA, 1-3 sentences]

Audience: [WHO IT'S FOR]
Platform: [WHERE YOU'D POST IT]

Tell me:
1. Is this fresh, or has it been said a thousand times? (Specific examples of who has covered this)
2. What's the contrarian or unexpected angle that would make it cut through?
3. What's the strongest hook for this idea on [PLATFORM]?
4. Honestly: is this worth your time? Score 1-10 with a one-sentence reason.

Be direct. Don't be encouraging.
Pro tipIf the score is 6 or below, kill the idea. Most creator time gets wasted on 'pretty good' ideas. Only ship the 8+s.
